The Il Bussetto craftsmen still use an ancient Italian technique which allows them to manufacture leather goods without using any kind of seams. Their products are completely hand made and it takes a considerable amount of time to create each piece. The leather is first cut and drenched with water, then fitted on wooden shapes to dry for several days. Finally, the articles are hand-painted, brushed with hot iron instruments called bussetti, then liberally waxed and buffed to finish.
